Introducing our Trust Members

December 9, 2011 in Announcements

We’re getting closer and closer to launching this blog in January! We’ve been lucky enough to secure four regular blog contributors who are passionate about education, have a lot of wonderful ideas to share, and are prepared to engage with the literacy community on this blog all year.

Take a moment to learn about Bobbie, Jamie, Debbie and Neale by selecting their names from the Member Bios tab above. Each of them have unique and varied experiences in education which will probably come through in the topics they cover in the coming weeks:

Bobbie will give tips and strategies for assessment and introducing nonfiction books.

Debbie will dive into the importance of and challenges with parent involvement programs.

Jamie will talk about reluctant readers and the impact that teachers and students have on each other’s learning.

Neale will take on engagement, leveling, and the universal challenges that teachers are facing today.

If you have an additional moment, send an e-mail to one of the trust members and let them know what questions you have that you think they may be able to address.

We’d also appreciate help promoting this new blog and encouraging educators to engage with us here.

Check back in January for the first posts from the Literacy Brain Trust!
