For 32 years, Debbie Swietlik worked for Fairfax County Public Schools supporting and strengthening family involvement in Title I schools. For 6 years, Debbie implemented the Partners In Print program at Annandale Terrace Elementary. She has introduced Partners In Print to over 30 schools, helping them develop and strengthen their programs over a 10 year period with ongoing support and workshops.

Debbie continues to share her strategies and ideas to help teachers empower families with practical tools to support their children’s literacy development. Her passion and excitement for engaging families in education is refreshing and contagious. She has conducted several informational sessions for educators and presented at the 20th National Conference on Family Literacy in Louisville, Kentucky in 2011.
